Diesel engines of various powers used in diesel- electric and diesel-hydraulic locomotives are manufactured with precision by specialized staff in the Engine Factory. Maintenance, repair and production of spare parts used in the 2400 HP diesel engines and other engines of different types and powers are carried out in this factory. On a wide machine park consisting of horizontal and high precision CNC benches, operations like turning, milling and forging are performed with precision. Work pieces in large dimensions can be treated and 12 tools can be fitted to these machines, which are controlled automatically with computers.
